Hi!

My name is Cory Picketts and I created Rewilding Homeschool.

I am the mama to an amazing human, teacher, nature-lover, coach, camp counselor, nature tour guide, wanderer, and forever wide-eyed child of wonder.

I created Rewilding Homeschool to provide nature immersion educational experiences for children through camps and alternative schooling. Rewilding is essentially restoring ecosystems to their natural state, especially after human interference. We tend to forget that we are a part of much larger ecosystems, everything is connected, and that we have a tremendous amount of innate knowledge already within us. The goal of Rewilding Homeschool is to provide experiences that foster the re-membering of these parts of ourselves to foster deeper, more meaningful learning and growing within a much larger community.

- Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychology and Transformational Life Coaching from Sofia University

- Masters thesis on Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey, mindfulness, compassion, and fearlessness

- Over 10 years of experience coaching high school and middle school athletes

- Over 25 years working with children in various camp settings (sports, arts, nature-based)

- Over 8 years facilitating Adventure Art Camps on the back bay of Ocean City through Bay Cats Paddling and Sailing

- 19 years in public education as a middle school science teacher
